Solution to Top Printing Phenomenon on Mobile Phone Back Cover - DY Series Silicone Material

For glass or composite film phone back covers, they are not only brittle but also have high light transmittance. In order to prevent brittle glass or composite film from breaking and splashing, an internal explosion-proof film is usually attached to protect the internal components of the phone.

At present, with the development of thin and light mobile phones, when the internal components of the phone are raised or the surface of the components is uneven after assembly, they come into close contact with the inner explosion-proof film, which can cause deformation of the inner explosion-proof film. This deformation can easily form a "top white" mark on the back cover of the phone, which we call "top printing". The phenomenon of top printing not only causes defects in the aesthetics of mobile phones, but also affects the mechanical properties of explosion-proof films due to long-term forces.

Based on customer needs, Guangmai's R&D department made multiple adjustments and ultimately developed the DY series products. The DY series products belong to the viscoelastic silicone material, which is not only soft and compressible, with a sticky surface and the ability to fill gaps, but also has the creep effect to deform under external forces, relieve stress, and achieve the effect of "removing marks with softness".

Product mechanism of action

The force generated by the protruding component is first dispersed on the surface of the PET substrate layer, and then the creep effect of the silicone layer itself directly resolves the stress, avoiding or reducing the deformation of the explosion-proof film and achieving the goal of eliminating top printing.
