An aviation equipment manufacturer uses support foam to provide stable and long-lasting rebound force for the buttons inside the aircraft cockpit when designing them. The thickness and width of the foam in the application are both around 1mm. Considering the special applications of aerospace and customer requirements, foam needs to have:

1. Good temperature resistance performance;

2. Excellent fire and flame retardant capabilities;

3. Persistent rebound force;

4. The material has uniform and stable pores.

Uniform and fine foaming is a challenge for most silicone products on the market, and achieving V-0 fire resistance and flame retardancy at such a thin thickness is particularly difficult.

MicroES ® is the registered trademark of our company's silicone products, which currently include GM series sealed support foam and GK series perforated ultra soft silicone foam. The GM-400 in the GM series is the flagship product for sealing support applications. It has a stable and delicate foam structure, strong and tough pore walls, and can reach the UL94V-0 fire retardant level as thin as 0.8mm (the flame retardant level certified by UL Yellow Card is V0, see UL-QMZ2.E499089 for details). It can work normally in the range of -55-150 ℃. At a compression rate of 40% and after millions of fatigue compression tests, the compression rebound loss of less than 8% compared to competitors exceeds 30%. This proves that the product maintains stable performance even after long-term repeated compression, making it very suitable for customers' application needs in such harsh environments. After several sample deliveries and repeated verification tests, the customer is very satisfied with the GM-400 silicone material produced by our company. Currently, the material has entered the mass production stage.
